Privacy Policy: Backender in the Vibe-Coding Era
Last updated: October 4, 2026This Privacy Policy explains how Denis Lopatkin ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you play Backender in the Vibe-Coding Era, a story game distributed as a Chrome extension ("Game"). In short: the Game runs entirely on your device and does not collect, transmit or sell any data.
1. Information We Collect
We do not collect any information through the Game. Specifically:
- The Game makes no network requests. All of its code, art, fonts and sounds are packaged inside the extension, and it works offline.
- Your save, achievements, run history and settings (volume, text size and speed) are stored in your browser's local storage for the extension. They never leave your device, and removing the extension deletes them.
- Code you type in the Game's coding tasks is run locally in a sandboxed page to check it against the task's tests. It is not stored outside your save and is not sent anywhere.
- The Game requests no browser permissions. It cannot read your tabs, browsing history or the pages you visit.
- The Game has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising identifiers and no third-party SDKs.
2. Links to Our Website
The in-game computer has a "Deus Visualizer" app that describes our Deus Chrome extension. If you
press its button, deus-soft.com opens in a new browser tab. The link carries campaign tags
(for example utm_source=backender) so we can count visits that came from the Game. Once
you are on the website, the Deus Privacy Policy applies. Nothing is sent
unless you press the button.
3. Sharing of Information
We do not collect information through the Game, so we have nothing to sell, share or transfer.
4. Children's Privacy
The Game is not directed at children under the age of 13 and contains mild profanity. It does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
5. Changes to This Policy
If a future version of the Game changes how it handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date before that version is published.
